How does abode make money?

abode charges an administration fee for each sale or purchase for a remortgage WHICH IS FULLY INCLUDED IN YOUR ONLINE QUOTE as part of “Total Fees”. Preferential rates for conveyancing have been negotiated with reputable firms around the country. Because abode supplies bulk work at no advertising cost to a firm, the firm’s services are offered at a lower price than could be individually negotiated, even including abode’s administration fee. When you instruct a firm through the abode website, the administration fee is payable only on completion. Additionally you have the peace of mind knowing that abode monitor their panel to ensure conformity to their code of practice. abode has a complaints policy outlining a procedure to investigate problems, though as yet unused. This procedure is dealt with by abode, outside the firm that undertakes your work.

abode did not initially publish a telephone number online, instead answering email queries, and making call backs if requested, however as customer feedback suggested that we should publish a number online, we did and now you can also ring abode.

The actual property conveyancing carried out by your firm however should NOT be compromised in any way and with abode, it is not. You receive a top quality service, from a well established firm, have your own contact, direct telephone number, and also their email address.

Who are the Panel?

A national panel of solicitors regulated by the Law Society has been selected from many applicant firms around the country. abode have chosen only well established, yet forward looking firms. Indeed all of the current panel have been in business for over 25 years*Correct Jan 2013 and communicate electronically where possible so the client knows they will be getting only the very best service.

Firms invited on to the panel are meticulously chosen, so as to ensure that they reach the standards expected of them by the Law Society and Council of Licensed Conveyancers. Performance is monitored and if at any time a firm shows any sign that they cannot meet this standard, they will be removed from the Panel, so you can be sure that your transaction is in the safest possible hands. They will also be required to adhere to the abode code of practice.

abode relies heavily on feedback from clients. Information regarding how clients feel the process went from using the abode website to initially obtain a quote, through instruction and on to completion is welcomed.
